• Typically has fewer cloves per bulb
• Extremely strong bolting cultivars
• If the scape is left uncut, it can grow as tall as 6ft
• Larger cloves make it easy to peel

• Large squatted, fat tan cloves with a hint of purple coloration
• Removal of scape is recommended for large bulbs
• Stores well
• Can be quite hot raw; more garlicky when sautéed
